lory ds idiosyncratic take on techno is an all-analogue assault on the senses, a soundtrack to the end of the world punctured by shards of acid and twisted metal soundscapes. a john carpenter for the rave generation, so to speak. the enigmatic lory is something of a legend in his native city of rome, where the former dmc champion was responsible for introducing his compatriots the sounds of techno, acid and hardcore with 5.000 strong raves featuring ritchie hawtin, underground resistance, joey beltram and lfo. his label sounds never seen was the soundtrack to these raves – an industrial yet sometimes beautiful vision of techno where drexciya, frankie bones and spk jammed in the roman sewers.

aaah lovely dovely, its that time of year again, the city is covered in snow, chestnuts are a roastin and wee little elves are working away busily pressing the annual home sweet home compilation for your listening and dancing pleasure. yep, its nearly that time of year again, the famed hsh new years rave at the arena/treptow in berlin is just around ye corner. yay! this year we have invited some dj and producer friends from berlin that are playing at the party to contribute to the compilation too! the lovely frenchmen shonky who has played at a few of our shindigs since moving to berlin and is known for his funky techno style has even named his track on a1 >madame moustache<, how very sweet ! snapping at his heels on b2 is our good friend from way up north (maybe he knows santa) and also a berlin resident agaric with his kicking track >after it all< which we are very pleased about. the flipside features some of our homies jens bond and tigerskin with a furious track on b1 followed by nico stojan our little bar 25 flirt with a nice melodic house track on a2 to round things off nicely.

vorbote des album ist die single >baltimore<, die von den unruhen im osten der usa im april 1968 nach dem attentat auf martin luther king inspiriert ist und mit gastvocals von niemand geringerem als primal scream - frontmann bobby gillespie aufwarten kann. f³r turzi ist der song eine musikalische reminiszenz an seine helden aus der gro?en zeit von britpop und madchester rave anfang der 90er jahre. und das der track schwer nach dieser zeit klingt, liegt nicht nur an gillespies mitwirken, sondern auch an der produktion û denn f³r den mix von baltimore zeichnet mit max heyes und brendan lynch a.k.a lynch mob das britischen kult-produzentenduo jener tagen verantwortlich.
